Manny agrees to be traded to Marlins--no deal yet

If Manny wants to play, he's great. Getting rid of him will no doubt hurt the Sox as far as talent, but I kind of wonder if it won't help the team as far as chemistry.

I don't see the Pirates/Marlins deal working, it appeared to me that Sox were giving up a player, prospects and money to get a player, which is stupid.

I still think the team that needs to get in on a Manny deal is the Dodgers. The laid back LA style would probably suit Manny, Torre probably would be able to get him to play hard, and the Dodgers could give up someone with talent to the Sox and not really kill themselves if Manny hits the road after the season.

I would rather see the BoSox trade a name brand player for another name brander who is unhappy....

I would give anything if they could have swapped him for Griffey
